Katie has been providing leadership training and development services to organisations for over 15 years. Her work uses leading-edge research in leadership and related fields to bring the best training and development programmes to her clients.
Katie’s knowledge and personal experience of leadership, management, executive education and training, allows her to design and deliver these high-impact programmes for the organisations and the individuals that she works with.
Her bespoke leadership programmes are shaped around a business’ needs. They range from an afternoon of using creative techniques to improve leadership communication and team working skills, to a year-long leadership development programme with multiple touch-points and working with all the senior leaders within an organisation.
The process of working together, no matter the scale or scope of the programme, will be the same and is outlined below.
Firstly, Katie will consult with you to understand the full extent of the challenges and opportunities that you would like the programme to help with. This research phase often includes initial suggestions on what may help, diagnostics and analytics that could diagnose the issues, and discussions with relevant stakeholders, such as the HR team; L&D; the leaders themselves; or the internal sponsors of the programme. At this stage, several solutions are offered with some advice on which might suit your situation the best.
Next comes the design of the programme which is focused on evidence, research, concepts and delivery styles that will work for your leader(s), your business and setting. This is also complemented by Katie’s extensive knowledge of workplace practice across multiple sectors which adds to the creativity and forward-thinking design of the programme.
The programme will then be delivered at a time (or times), and place that suits the needs of your business. For a longer term project, Katie will report back on a regular basis to ensure that the design is in keeping with the current challenges that the business and its leaders are facing.
Once complete, Katie will give a full debrief (which may include a report, presentation and recommended further steps), as well as making sure that participants are given relevant handouts and takeaways which focus on positive action and lasting change. She can also suggest follow-up activities that can help to cement learning and ensure that the training makes a difference to leaders in the workplace.
